How to Run Linux on Microsoft Azure Cloud
Linux is a versatile Operating System that is important to learn. Fortunately, there are many options available to anyone wanting to learn and use Linux. It's lightweight enough to run on older hardware, you can purchase an inexpensive Raspberry Pi, run a Virtual Machine, and - you can run it in the cloud with services like Microsoft Azure.
As an alternate UNIX-like OS, Linux skills translate very well into networking systems, UNIX, embedded systems, and more. The ability to work in UNIX/Linux is a foundational skill in computers.
However, sometimes the options become overwhelming, Many desktop distributions include GUIs that take us away from the core command-line skills we want to learn and teach. We also don't want to make changes to a configured system and/or have to reinstall each time we want to use Linux.
Well, Azure is an option. You can quickly create a simple Linux installation at low-cost and begin learning.
