In this video, I’m unboxing my new Synology NAS, installing drives, adding a memory upgrade, and walking you through the initial setup process. If you’re curious about setting up your own NAS for file or media storage, this video gives you a good idea of what to expect when setting up the hardware.
In my next video, I’ll be integrating the NAS with an HDHomeRun and installing Plex for live TV viewing and recording.
11/3/2024 Correction - Synology does list compatible RAM modules! Currently they only support a single 1st party module (D4NESO-2666-4G).
