Durmitor in Spring

Spring in Durmitor National Park marks the transition from winter to a vibrant natural landscape. Snow begins to melt from the mountain peaks, feeding rivers, lakes, and waterfalls across the park.

As the season changes, Black Lake returns to full visibility, and the entire area becomes more active. Wildlife, including wild goats with their young, can be seen across the slopes. Vegetation starts to recover, and the overall pace of life in the mountains increases.

One of the most recognizable landmarks, the Tara Bridge, stands high above the Tara River, offering impressive views of the surrounding canyon.

Spring is an ideal time for outdoor activities such as hiking, sightseeing, and exploring Durmitor’s diverse terrain. The park offers a combination of untouched nature, unique landscapes, and a safe environment for visitors.
