In this video, we're going to install and review eComStation 2.2 beta on a retro PC, step by step. This operating system was released by Serenity Systems in 2001 and was supported until 2011. The version we'll be analyzing today is a beta version that was released in 2013 and is the last known version of this operating system.
eComStation is an operating system derived from OS/2 Warp 4.5 (IBM), and as such, it shares many similarities with it, including the use of the HPFS file system and the ability to run software programmed for MS-DOS and Windows 3.x, as well as a similar environment.
We will need:
A PC with a DVD drive (for this version).
