Using Snaps to install Firefox with required codecs on Rocky Linux 9.0

Rocky Linux is a new distribution of which provides a free rebuild of RHEL packages post the CentOS Stream change.

Like all RHEL derivatives, it ships no "encumbered" codecs, even via EPEL.

In this video I test whether it is possible to work-around this (without building things ourselves or adding increasingly dubious repos to our config) by using Canonical's "Snaps" which are sandboxed applications which run on a stripped down run-time based on Ubuntu (almost a container but not quite).

And it turns out it works.

Note - things are slow because this is a very resource strapped VM I'm testing in, with software rendering.
