Calculation and manufacture of a cycloidal gearbox with any gear ratio. A simple method for calculating and constructing the operating profiles of such a gearbox is demonstrated. Cycloidal gearboxes (also known as planetary-pinion, cycloidal, wave, or harmonic gearboxes) have unique properties: the ability to achieve high gear ratios, high efficiency, and high load capacity.
