We crossed invisible borders marked by blood and spoke with those who live each day facing risk, adrenaline, and the fear of not seeing the next sunrise.
Here, the law of the State holds no power. What rules are the gangs — armed organizations that divide the city and fight for power, respect, and territory.
Between robberies, score-settling, and lives burned out too soon, I tried to understand what drives a young person to choose — or be forced into — this life.
And what remains here, of happiness.
