This video demonstrates a systematic strategy for converting between SI units (with and without prefixes). Two simple and effective problem-solving tricks are included! One is a quick check to help prevent assigning two prefixes to one unit (like 1×10^3 km = 1 m). The other is a slight adjustment to which part of the conversion factor is written first, in order to ensure that the units will cancel. Fully worked out examples include conversions of prefixed unit to non-prefixed unit, non-prefixed unit to prefixed unit, and prefixed unit to prefixed unit.
