Adorable footage of first ever snow leopard born at Chester Zoo
The first ever snow leopard cub has been born at Chester Zoo. The cub is the first of its kind to be born at the zoo in its 94-year history and is set to venture out from its den and into public view at “any moment.”
Now six-weeks-old, the cub was born on Tuesday June 10, 2025 to first-time parents Nubra and Yashin, who are both three years old.
The birth comes after Nubra and Yashin were carefully matched together in 2024 as part of an international conservation breeding programme that’s working to ensure a healthy insurance population for the highly endangered species in the world’s leading zoos.
