UINTAS
I got to hang out with Zig Peacock for the first time after months of chatting periodically. Zig is a fly fishing enthusiast and the president of the Weber Basin Trout Unlimited Chapter. You can catch him up in the Uintas in the summer fishing small lakes for trout! Zig is also an advocate for the Utah Cutthroat Slam. We decided to hit as many lakes as we could in this day to work on an Instagram goal I had. You can catch Zigs channel @in2mtns with the same name on Instagram.
Sadly I was unable to catch fish at all 5 locations pending a very grindy few hours for grayling but I had already completed half of my goal by the time this adventure started so it didn't take much to complete the goal.
The rod I was using was a bit short for these lakes but I still had a great time hiking my butt off and catching a surprise cutthroat in the mix.
