World Trip Vlog 056 - Our first impressions of Koh Samui. First stop: Lamai.
Lamai is located in the southeast of Koh Samui and is one of the island's many popular spots. Our accommodation was a bit off the beaten track, but the village center and the beach were still within easy walking distance. For us, it was the perfect location. We really liked the beach in Lamai and enjoyed swimming and relaxing. Lamai also has a Walking Street, which is a kind of mini night market.
Lamai is also home to one of Koh Samui's top attractions: Hin Ta and Hin Yai. At least, that's what the tourist guides and day-trip operators say. We were able to reach this top attraction in about 30 minutes on foot. This highlight is a rock formation with the charming name: Grandfather and Grandmother, or Hin Ta and Hin Yai.
