What Should You Do If Your Work Permit Is Cancelled?
Here's what you need to do if your work permit is canceled:
First of all, it's important to follow the legal procedures from the date your work permit was canceled. You can apply for a residence permit within 10 days, as needed. If your residence permit is still active, canceling your work permit will not affect your residency status.
Before canceling your work permit, you must transfer it. For example, if a foreigner working at Company A wants to transfer to Company B, they can first apply for a work permit at Company B and have it approved, then cancel their work permit at Company A.
Finally, once you receive your work permit, you must register for social security within 30 days of the work permit being issued. If you're wondering where to find your social security number, you can check it through the e-government system.
