ESP32 dev board (any common ESP32 devkit)
4-Channel Relay Module (SRD-05VDC-SL-C) — use JD-VCC isolation if available
5V power supply for relay module (or USB power bank for demo)
Lamp / low-voltage demo load (use a safe lamp or test load; don’t show exposed mains on camera)
⚠️ SAFETY FIRST — READ THIS BEFORE YOU WIRE OR SWITCH MAINS
If you’re switching mains/AC: only switch the LIVE (hot) conductor, not neutral + earth.
Use insulated connectors and an enclosure. Do not film exposed live wiring.
If you’re unsure about mains wiring, get help from a qualified electrician.
For safe demos, use a low-voltage lamp or a simulated load (better for YouTube).

🧩 QUICK PROTOCOL NOTES (how PC talks to ESP)
ESP32 runs a WebSocket server on port 81.
Commands: S1_ON, S1_OFF, S2_ON, S2_OFF, ... (text messages).
Relay logic: active-LOW on the module used in this video — LOW = relay ON, HIGH = relay OFF. Confirm with your board.
🐞 TROUBLESHOOTING — QUICK FIXES (most common problems)
Relay doesn't click → check relay VCC (5V) & common GND with ESP32. Relay coils need 5V; IN pins are logic inputs.
Relays trigger randomly → module may require pull-ups or an opto/isolation; use JD-VCC and isolate ESP ground if needed.
WebSocket can’t connect → confirm ESP32 IP from Serial Monitor and port 81. Ping from PC first.
Gesture jitter / toggles too fast → add a hold time or debounce: require gesture to be held for 0.5–1s before sending.
Noisy detection at corners → smooth landmark coordinates (moving average) and check lighting.
