🇺🇸 Walking New York City, Hudson Yards & The High Line NYC [4K HDR/60fps]
Welcome to New York Cities recently completed Hudson Yards on Manhattan's West Side. Built from the ground up, it's a triumph in the New York real estate industry celebrating culture, commerce and cuisine. Described as a place to live, work, and play, Hudson Yards connects with The High Line, and surrounding Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen neighbourhood.
At the centre of this new district, the dynamic structure nicknamed “The Vessel,” captures the attention of everyone around it. At 150ft (45 metres), stairs climb up in every direction providing the public a one of a kind vertical climb unlike anything constructed before.
From here we make our way over to The High Line, a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad on the west side of Manhattan in New York City.
Walking the entire length of The High Line, we find our way to Chelsea and the Meatpacking District where we see Little Island rising out of the Hudson River. Located at Pier 55 is an artificial island park in the Hudson River west of Manhattan in New York City, adjoining Hudson River Park. Designed by Heatherwick Studio, it is near the intersection of West Street and 13th Street in the Meatpacking District and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan. Wikipedia
This once abandoned district has been redesigned as a "living system" drawing from multiple disciplines which include landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology.
