"Ms Avery's Virtual Flight" from Degrassi Palooza

FYI: Actor Michelle Goodeve took her Degrassi fans along on this virtual flight to give them a feel of what it's like to go aloft in her very own Pietenpol Aircamper. The aeroplane was designed 94 years ago, has a 77-year-old, 65hp engine and is constructed of ~800-year-old Sitka Spruce, covered in fabric! Michelle has owned her "Piet" for more than half her life and - over the decades has re-built everything from the engine to the entire structure (with a little help from her VERY knowledgeable friends).
The Piet cruises around 77mph and can stay aloft just under 3 hours between fill-ups.
Michelle has used her skills as a Pilot - and her Piet - to produce quite a few TV shows. In addition to being an Actor, she is also an award-winning Screenwriter, Story Editor and Creative Producer.
She also uses her passion for photography to create "Photo Articles" for the web site www.whyfly.aero (which she co-created with her partner, Glenn Norman). Her upcoming plans include several books, more screenplays - and a flight over central Canada following the path of her Metis ancestors...
