An anesthesia monitor records your ECG, pulse wave, blood oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. The anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist, surgeon, and assistant monitor you.
Essentially, you couldn't feel safer at any other time.
Anesthesia is a deep sleep. Very deep, but still sleep. And you should treat it as such.
