In this video, a quick demo of running stable diffusion using AMD CPU 5950x is shown. The model used is waifu diffusion v1.4 (https://huggingface.co/hakurei/waifu-....
It's not as fast as GPU, but few minutes (less than four minutes per image for a 51 steps default setting image) is still acceptable IMO compared with manual paintings.
