The Prophet's Sacrifice for His People
The Messenger of Allah was willing to sacrifice himself so that all his followers would enter Paradise.
One day the Messenger of Allah saw his daughter Sayyidah Fatimah crying. Then he asked, "My daughter Fatimah, what makes you cry?" Fatimah replied, "O Messenger of Allah, soon you will be called by Allah. Soon your soul and body will be separated. Then I will no longer meet you, O Messenger of Allah."
Then the Messenger said, "There is good news for you, O my daughter. After I die, you will be the first to follow me to face Allah. Meet me on the scales of deeds. If the scale of my followers' sins is greater, then that is where I prostrate and ask for intercession from Allah so that the sins of my followers are eroded.
After that, meet me in Sirat. There I will hold the hand of each of my followers so that they do not fall into the fire of hell. Indeed, I will not enter Paradise until all of my followers enter Paradise. By Allah, the Almighty.
