BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
In the following video 1, it is illustrated that monitoring activities for primates, namely Orangutans, will be carried out in an area. Then a path design plan is made and a plan is to observe vegetation.
The track points, PU points, and transect forms have been created in such a way in the ArcGIS mapping application to be subsequently entered into the GPS receiver. While data management is used ArcCatalog which is part of ArcGIS. Then the data is imported using the Garmin BaseCamp application into the GPS receiver.
It is hoped that we can understand the process of placing the transect design results in the DISTANCE application, then further processing it in ArcGIS, converting it to format (.kml) in ArcGIS so that it can be opened in BaseCamp. After that, "Send to ..." is done into the GPS. Checks whether the three data points (track point, PU point, and transect line) can be displayed in the GPS layer. If so, then the GPS is ready to be used in the field.
