In this step-by-step guide, I’ll show you how to install GNS3 in 2025, including both the GNS3 GUI and the GNS3 VM version. I will be using VMware Workstation Pro which is the recommended hypervisor. This setup allows you to run complex network simulations using real network images from Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba and many more. Perfect for CCNA, CCNP, lab testing or just for fun :) In the end I will show you some troubleshooting steps that might be needed to run GNS3 VM on Windows 11.
