Intergenerational Drum Circle in Reston, VA - Assisted Living and Elementary School
On April 14 elementary students from Sunset Hills Montessori School will join up with the residents of Tall Oaks Assisted Living for a drum circle. Both groups have been lead individually by Alan Yellowitz of The Beat Goes On, this will unite the groups in an intergenerational activity. The drum circle launches the Connecting the Generations program at Sunset Hills Montessori designed to engage the residents of local senior housing communities with a meaningful purpose to share their wisdom with the children and the school.
