In this tutorial, I am using version 2.1 of django-oscar-accounts and I will introduce the package to you and we will see the functionalities and features it provides to us.
Django Oscar Accounts is a package that provides functionalities for a managed account to use with the e-commerce framework django-oscar.
A managed account is an account held by a person or organization where they make a range of investments to increase their business income/profit.
The invester we may say that the organization, hires a professional investment manager to oversee the account's operations to achieve specific objectives, such as long term growth or current income.
So, we need a managed account in our e-commerce project to implement a variety of interesting components like:
Gift Cards
Web accounts
Loyalty Schemes
So, to use this functionalities we need django-oscar-accounts package for our django-oscar projects. In the next tutorial, I will show you to how to integrate django-oscar-accounts package with django-oscar.
