BendPak MD6XP | Scissor Lift Review
I feel incredibly lucky to have a lift in my garage — it’s one of those tools that completely changes how you work on cars. I bought this BendPak MD6XP way back in 2015 from Northern Tool when it was on sale for around $2,000 shipped, and honestly, it’s been one of the best investments I’ve ever made.
At the time, my garage ceiling was under 8 feet tall, so a full-size 2-post wasn’t an option. The MD6XP fit perfectly and still gave me enough lift height to make every job easier — from oil changes to full transmission drops. Working on the ground was getting old (and hard on the back), but this setup made wrenching fun again.
Even after upgrading to a full-size 2-post lift in my new 14’ shop, I couldn’t bring myself to sell the BendPak. It’s just too useful — especially for quick jobs, tight spaces, or mobile setups. If you’re working in a home garage or short-ceiling space, I highly recommend checking out this lift or the MaxJax version linked below.
