Troubleshooting RS485 data quality issues on a model railway using Arduinos and JMRI
After getting JMRI routes set up I started noticing inconsistencies in performance, resulting in points occasionally not moving when they should.
I was pretty much at a loss as to why, so set about investigating, trying to get useful output from the Arduino and exploring what logging was available through JMRI / CMRI.
I discovered a few things and learnt a few things I didn't know so hopefully it might be useful to anyone who finds themselves in the same boat.
