SUPERCELL HAS ANSWERED! "There are a lot of Record rewards missing from the cut down release version you see, more Records, along with those missing rewards attached, will be added over the next few updates" seems like my theory was right, now let's see how they follow through with that :D

people have pointed out brawler quests give you 1 mythic starr drop for every rare/super rare brawler, which would approximately match the "benefit of doubt" differences that i was talking about (except for credits, which is more complicated because i disagree with supercell on the credits per starr drop number, but not a big enough difference to change the conclusion of this video)
