Morakai - Breakout Festival 2021
Breakout Festival is here to digitally showcase the musical talent of youth in Caerphilly, to raise awareness of mental health. Filmed at Ratio Studios and funded by GAVO, Caerphilly Council and High Sheriff Fund.
The festival was set up by young people who undertook a volunteering project with RecRock. The aim of the project was to improve confidence, mental health and offer an experience the young people would not forget. The young people came up with a name for the festival, branding
The young people also took part in a series of zoom sessions with industry professionals on a variety of things including how to be played on radio, home recording, how to make a music video and much more.
