FACTS
50% of High School Students do not proceed to tertiary education or higher learning.
Of the 50% them that do, about 43% of them do not graduate!
About 25% of University students have a child or are taking care of family.

In Ghana it takes about 4 or 5 years to graduate from university for your first degree. You go through the degree course for 4 years and receive your certificate after doing your national service. These days most state universities organize the graduation ceremony soon after the exams but six months is still a long time.

What is the meaning of all these statistics?

It means that the current Educational System does not produce what it was designed to produce for the types of people that go, the number of people that go and what they need.
The current educational system does not keep up with the modern world in terms of how it makes itself available and what the charge is.
