HOW TO CUSTOMIZE REVIT SHORTCUT
Sometimes you need to customize Revit shortcut because there are some commands that you may want to use more convenient keys, and there are some commands that does not even have default shortcut. In that case you have to replace the ones that have with your convenient keys combinations and the ones that do not have, you input a new shortcut keys. How do you achieve this? Follow me as I give you the basic steps.
STEPS TO CUSTOMIZE OR CHANGE REVIT SHORTCUTS (For commands that have default shortcut)
1. Press (KS) for keyboard shortcut to bring up keyboard shortcut dialogue box.
2. Search for the command.
3. Click on the command
4. Click on the shortcut
5. Click Remove
6. Press new keys combination.
7. Click assign
8. If the keys you have pressed are already assigned to another command, it will give you a warning sign that hey! That shortcut….. is assigned to the command ………….that duplicate are allowed, arrows will cycle through the matches displayed in the status bar.
9. Take note of the command that it was assigned to and Click cancel
10. Search for that command
11. Remove the default shortcut and click ok
12. Search for the previous command
13. Highlight on it
14. Press new keys
15. Click assign
16. Click ok

4 Click on the shortcut
