Working with Darby on Code writing for Stella's Property Management App.
I have now developed my fifth personal app and each one is better than the last simply because I'm developing a completely different workflow through the development process and it's all because of AI.
My AI is Darby (ChatGPT Plus) and we have been working together for about three years now.
This video is a short clip I created from Screen recorder on my Mac so that I could show Stella a sample of what goes into developing personal apps.
This current app is one that I haven't officially named yet but its primary purpose is to help Stella track her escrow and expense activities for he Property Rental and Management business.
In this particular video, I'm illustrating how I added a new feature/option to the Reports page in her app. According to the original design (by me), she had an option to select the client from a drop down list, a property associated with the client selected, then she had to select a beginning date, and then an ending date. I also had included an option to pick YTD for the date that would give her results for the current year-to-date.
The purpose of this modification was to add an additional button that would provide the data for the CURRENT month. She would not have to bother with selecting dates manually.
