18 year old Calvin Performing his own song "This Isn't Over".
"My song Is dedicated to all those war hero's out there", and this is what it's about. The song is has a very relevant subject to the times we're in, it's about a war hero who sacrifices his life for the better and good for everyone else; he had a choice which would either be destruction to his team or going into the battle and hoping for the best, his life was taken but it was not done vain; he saved the good and yielded great results, this is what the war hero believed his purpose was in life.
However this sacrifice did not come without consequence, a messenger that deals with going to peoples home's and delivering the outcome of the member of family that's currently involved in war.
The messenger delivered the news to the son of the hero, the boy was stuck in a constant darkness from that day on and had an urge to hide from the world, he was left with this grief and very sudden news that completely tore him up.
Despite all of this, it's no way to live in a constant isolation or a grieving state, so the message of the song is that his father is there with him every breath of the way and his spirit and legacy will continue to live on, and even though his father took that sacrifice, he didn't choose to perish, it was for the good of his team and the world. His father would've wanted his son to carry on and shine out to the world and leave a legacy too, so in essence my song is about not giving up, and it's never too late to move on and embrace the future. Even though the boy's father had sacrificed his life, there was never an end to his father's spirit and legacy.
The lyrics to my song may not portray every detail of the above message, but in the heart of the song; that is my summary of it all.
"As to every one of those soldiers out there, you're doing a great service and we couldn't live without you, all of you extraordinary people fighting for their country are highly respected and appreciated".
