Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, has a rich cultural heritage dating back to the 12th century. Once a small fishing village on the banks of the River Düssel, it grew into one of Germany’s most elegant cities, known for its fashion, art, and trade fairs. Today, Königsallee (often called “Kö”) is among the most luxurious shopping streets in Europe, lined with designer boutiques, modern architecture, and beautiful canal views.
