Google Backup and Sync Icon in Taskbar is Not Working (Just Showing Gray Area) - How To Solve?
The Google Backup and Sync can be used to keep your local backup of the Google Drive and the cloud data in sync and usually it works reliable, but some people are complaining about not being able to access the settings any more and only presented a gray area and this also happened to me now. So this is how to solve this problem. Watch and see!

And here as promised the code you need to copy/paste into the "Restart_GoogleDriveSync.bat" text file (6 lines only!)

CD "C:\Program Files\Google\Drive"
START googledrivesync.exe
EXIT
You can use any file name, but it must have the ending ".BAT". Also make sure you double-check if the path is correct!
