📖 EPISODE 7 STORY: The episode begins in the church where Oh Father is rehearsing for Homelander's divine unveiling. Meanwhile an elated Homelander is sitting in the Oval Office. The President and Ashley arrive. He tells them about his extreme vision for America and also bans nut milk. He asks Ashley to read the President's mind because he wants to know whether he is a true believer. She obliges and tells him that the President is terrified of him and thinks he is psychotic. Homelander immediately kills him making Ashley the new President of the United States. Butcher has concocted a Plan B after failing to keep the V1 from Homelander's grasp. He has decided to use the uranium to turn Kimiko into the new Soldier Boy by applying the same techniques the Russians used hoping she can gain the same power sucking ability he has. Kimiko lets everyone know she wants to give it a shot and Frenchie goes along with it. Synapse discerns the heroes' base and relays word to Homelander. However Homelander's pawn underestimates Hughie who distracts him with details about his dark past. Hughie recalls how Synapse was a killer as a child coaxing his little brother into a bloody spree. Remembering the carnage leaves Synapse battling guilt of his own allowing Butcher to unbind himself and use his tentacles to kill Synapse. Toward the end of the episode Frenchie confirms to Homelander that the gang has recreated Soldier Boy's party trick — a solution to turn Homelander back into a mortal Supe. While Frenchie Kimiko and Sister Sage figured out the way the research came at a high cost.
