A part failing prematurely isn't always bad luck. And many people pay for repairs they shouldn't have to pay for.
Here's what you should know:
Almost every part has a reasonable expected lifespan. If it fails well before that, through no fault of your own, you're not always stuck with the problem. Beyond the manufacturer's warranty, there's non-conformity and liability for defective products.
If this happens to you, protect yourself:
→ Keep everything: purchase receipt, repair invoice, and mileage.
→ Ask for a written diagnosis: exactly why it failed.
→ Don't accept "it is what it is" at first.
→ Get informed before paying for expensive repairs.
