Pros & cons
Pros:
saves 60-70% of labor spent on manual cleaning
good for cleaning every day's floor dust. You will be surprised by the amount of dust it cleans, when you open its waste bin.
can clean and mop a typical size house on full charge
easy to clean / maintain the vacuum cleaner.
cleans hard to reach places like under the beds
Cons:
need to prep your house before starting the vacuum cleaner.
Like pick up big particles of waste, move chairs / objects to allow the robot to access. Clean the vacuum cleaner. Takes about 5-10 minutes of time for me.
don't expect 100% cleaning, some times misses spots, can't vacuum all the small particles
not a smart or intelligent robot. If we pause it in between and start again, it considers that to be new cycle and re-cleans the portions before it was paused.
can't seems to locate its "home", unless it is right in front of the home base.
it doesn't map house and obstructing objects, every single time it in explore mode
no mobile control, can't block areas virtually that don't need cleaning
-takes very long to clean entire house. 1 hour 15 minutes in my case
it's wet wipes the floor, not mopping. Frequent cleaning of the mop cloth and and water addition for single cleaning cycle of entire house.
Recommendation:
1. No, if your house is small or don't have accessibility for the robot to go. You be spending same amount of time in cleaning the robot or preparing the house as you would have spent on manual cleaning.
2. No, if you have more budget. Go for lidar or camera based robots with mobile control.
