The Earth, the stars, the light – these are all components of matter. Everything around us is a manifestation of matter, which consists of elementary particles resembling an atom. But has anyone, at any time, in any part of the world, considered that all this has a complete opposite – the antithesis of everything existing in the universe?
This opposite is antimatter. That is, something composed of particles whose energy charge is negative when viewed in our real plane. In fact, an antiparticle mirrors ordinary matter and retains absolutely all the properties characteristic of matter, only manifested in reverse. This is the conclusion reached by American scientists who studied the behavior of antiprotons, which turned out to be identical to that of ordinary protons. However, the interaction of matter and antimatter could have horrific consequences, potentially destroying all life on our planet, if human experiments in this field spiral out of control. Science currently knows that the interaction of a kilogram of antimatter with a kilogram of matter will result in the complete annihilation of both components, with an extremely intense release of heat. This could generate an explosion of unimaginable magnitude, comparable to the detonation of the most powerful nuclear warhead ever developed. A similar thermonuclear bomb, known as the "Tsar Bomba," was developed in the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s. The bomb's detonation killed all life within a radius of 11 kilometers, and the blast wave circled the globe three times.
