Lab reporting system
The Alert System is a stand-alone application in which SMS is used to send lab result alerts of TB suspects. Through this system, a lab technician can send lab test results of sputum smear via SMS to the concerned health workers (STS/ TB-HV)s, TB suspects and any other concerned person. A lab technician will enter the details of suspect and test results in a computer connected to the internet. Immediately thereafter, the technician/ any other authorized person can send SMS to all concerned. The system will also have centralized reporting capabilities; the data will be sent from individual computer terminals at the laboratories to a central server, which can analyze the data and automatically prepare reports.
