The Sefer Yetzirah is the oldest esoteric Hebrew text and is attributed to Abraham. However unlike the Abrahamic religions, this text speaks of the Genesis of Life coming through a Triple Goddess and the Fathers they birth. This of course differs completely with the Genesis story of the Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
My research to find the origins of a Genesis story with three pairs at the centre, brought me to the advent of writing to our oldest mythology. It is here that I found parallels with this esoteric and oral tradition which would later influence Kabbalism and the occult.
The Sefer Yetzirah and the Fertile crescent also have a second model of the triple Goddess which represent: the Virgin Goddess, the Fertile Goddess and the Goddess of Life and Death. This type of triple Goddess is more widespread and can be seen throughout Europe and India as well.
