Montería is a city in northern Colombia. It is known for its livestock culture and the planchones (roofed rafts) that transport passengers across the Sinú River. The leafy Ronda del Sinú Park stretches along the river, with trails and monkeys, iguanas and sloths. In the northern area of the park, there is the El Mirador tower, with a panoramic view of the river. In the center of the city, there is the iconic Cathedral of San Jerónimo.
