Eynsford ancient river ford at dusk - ASMR
The Ford is in the centre of the village, and during the summer months appears to be a central focal point for families and children for paddling and using small fishing nets, and picnics on the large village green that runs alongside the river. It is located on the River Darent which flows through the village and crosses the road at the point of the ford. There is also a small mediaeval single track humped backed bridge which is used by pedestrians and cars that do wish to get their wheels wet. Larger vehicles such as vans, lorries, tractors and the like have to take passage through the Ford to reach the properties and communities beyond.
