Z-Wave JS Locks in Home Assistant - Now See Who Opened The Door
When I did my last few videos on Z-wave JS I have almost everything set up the way I want it with my Z-wave. Now you can adjust all Z-wave config information right from HA. The only thing that wasn't working was knowing which code was used on the doors and what was the last lock state.
So I read through some of the GitHub issues and forum posts and realized that these types of updates are implemented differently in JS. They come in on the event bus instead of via a state change. So instead of seeing a sensor update, it comes in as an event. So I had to approach this setup differently
In today's video, we look at how to properly see extended information about your Z-wave Locks when using the Z-wave JS integration in Home Assistant.
