In this video I want to show and tell how I made a supply and exhaust ventilation with my own hands. We will not verbose, straight to the point.
The design of the entire ventilation is made of plastic plumbing pipes, 110 mm in diameter, 45, 90 degree bends, as well as repair couplings. Everything is assembled quite simply, like a constructor. You can do it, I believe in you. And now do not forget to support us with a like, a mandatory subscription to the channel, and, if possible, a comment. And now let's go.
Let's start with the supply shaft. The first thing we need is to make a round hole in the chicken coop itself for our entire structure. It is located from the bottom of the floor at a distance of 30-50 cm. I made the hole with a wood crown with a diameter of 127 mm, helping with an electric jigsaw. Next, we install a block on which the entire shaft of the structure will be attached with a perforated tape in the future.
Now we measure and cut the pipe, without a socket, which will be in this hole itself, in our case 240 mm long. You can cut it either with a jigsaw for metal or an angle grinder, we previously glued masking tape for an even cut. I also made sure to remove the chamfers to make it easier for the pipe to enter the repair couplings or bends.
Next, we insert a piece of pipe into a 90-degree bend, it will be located on the inside of the chicken coop. I used liquid soap to make the pipe easier to enter! I did not put the pipes on a sealant at all, in the future it will be possible to disassemble and clean the shaft. Use a sealant at your discretion. During the entire period of operation, we had no incidents, leaks from rain, the pipes sit quite tightly.
The next step is foaming the gap with mounting foam. You may need an assistant in the chicken coop to hold the 90-degree elbow insertion from the outside of the chicken coop for evenness and support.
When the foam hardens, we continue installing the shaft. We insert a repair coupling onto the elbow. Then a pipe, in our case 1060 mm long.
And then, we assemble a structure from several elbows, 45, 45 and 90 degrees., this is necessary to bypass the roof overhang. After that, we insert the structure from the elbows into the pipe.
The final part of this entire structure will be a long pipe, in our case 290 mm, as well as a ventilation umbrella inserted on top.
Next, we securely fasten our supply ventilation with perforated tape.
The height of the entire supply shaft should be 20-30 cm lower than the height of the roof ridge.
The supply shaft structure is ready.
So, an exhaust shaft structure is used to remove dirty air. Which is already 20-30 cm higher than the ridge of the roof.
The installation of the exhaust shaft is the same as the supply ventilation.
On the opposite side diagonally from the supply shaft, we make a round hole under the very ceiling. dlllll We also use a 127 mm crown.
We insert a pipe into the resulting hole, in our case 310 mm long.
Next, we cut off the pipe, also in our case 250 mm long, which will be installed in the already installed chicken coop pipe.
So, I installed the newly cut pipe in a repair coupling with a 90-degree bend, then inserted a pipe with a ventilation umbrella, in our case, 570 mm long.
And only then, I installed the entire newly assembled structure in the pipe already installed in the wall.
During installation, to secure the entire exhaust shaft, I securely reinforced it with perforated tape. And only then I foamed the gap between the pipe and the building.
From the outside, from moisture penetration through the gaps, I painted with waterproofing.
The exhaust shaft is ready!
