the exposition "history of Novosibirsk region" occupies 7 halls of the first floor of The Museum. The main idea of the exhibition is to give a comprehensive idea of the development and formation of the region: from the development of the Russian southern Siberia to the "Khrushchev thaw" of the 1950s-1960s. The Museum halls reflect the key events of both national and local importance, demonstrate the features of everyday life of the population and the influence of wartime. Special attention is paid to the outstanding natives and residents of our region. In the exhibition you can see personal belongings and photos of engineer Nikolai Tikhomirov, teacher Claudia Polyanskaya, Hero of the Soviet Union George Baidukov, architect Andrei Kryachkov, three times Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Pokryshkin, academician Mikhail Lavrentyev and others.

Hall № 1 " Development Of Southern Siberia»

With the arrival of Russian Cossacks on the territory of southern Siberia in the early XVIII century, the construction of the first fortified military posts — fortresses, and then — the Moscow-Siberian tract. The exhibition presents household items, tools, clothing of immigrants, as well as the development of trade and crafts: agriculture, woodworking, pottery, weaving.

A separate complex is dedicated to the first industrial enterprise in the Novosibirsk region — Suzun copper smelting complex.

The exhibition presents materials that tell about one of the largest events for the region — the construction of the Siberian railway. In the hall you can see photos, documents and personal belongings of the first engineers-builders of the railway.

Hall № 2 " Novo-Nikolaevsk-Novosibirsk. 1893-1926»

The exposition is devoted to the history of Novo-Nikolaevsk: from its origin in 1893 to its renaming to Novosibirsk in 1926.

The interior of the exhibition "Fashion workshop" introduces the daily life of citizens of the early XX century-life and clothing. During the First world war and active mobilization presented military uniforms, awards, weapons of the time. The subsequent revolutionary events of 1917 and the Civil war are reflected in photographs, documents and authentic objects.

Hall № 3 " first Soviet five-year plans»

During the first Soviet five-year plans Western Siberia was in the center of events.

In the exhibition you can get acquainted with the life of the first communes and collective farms in the modern Novosibirsk region, with the unusual history of the plant named after the XVI party Congress, built at the expense of street children, learn the names of the first Stakhanovites and Heroes of the Soviet Union. Clothing of peasants and urban residents, household items, tools and tools of the 1930s, porcelain with Soviet symbols-give the flavor of the era of the first Soviet five — year plans.

Hall № 5 " Novosibirsk region during the great Patriotic war. 1941-1945»

The exhibition tells about the life of the residents of Novosibirsk region in 1941-1945.

In the hall of the Museum there are exhibition complexes dedicated to Siberians who went to the front, as well as home front workers employed in industrial enterprises, Railways, agriculture. Among the exhibits: uniforms, weapons, ammunition and objects of soldiers ' life; factory machines and products of Novosibirsk enterprises, coming to the front; banners, photographs and documents of the great Patriotic war from the Museum.

Halls № 6-7 " time of great hopes»

The exhibition halls are devoted to the history of the Novosibirsk region in the 1950s-1960s. This twentieth anniversary was one of the key periods in the history of the region.

The exhibition presents materials about the mourning of Stalin, the new agricultural policy and life in the village, the development of virgin lands, the post-war stage of the evacuated during the great Patriotic war enterprises, the construction of a Communal bridge, Novosibirsk hydroelectric power station, the opening of new universities, the Foundation of Akademgorodok, the arrival in Novosibirsk conductor Arnold Katz, the appearance of an art gallery, a television Studio and a house of models.

At the end of 1950-ies began mass construction of standard apartment buildings with compact apartments "Khrushchev". This led to a radical change in the interiors. In the halls of the Museum recreated the corners of these new apartments.
