Song Of The DFLP “شد حزامك يا رفيقي” (Tighten Your Belt, Comrade!)
This is the new look of all videos, as stated in the description of Round And Round Hitler’s Grave.
I found this one on the Internet Archive today, I was not planning on uploading it, rather a Puerto Rican song, but I thought it was too good not to make a video for it. There are syncing issues between the lyrics on screen and the actual song, but overall I’m proud of the video.
This is a song of the Democratic Front For The Liberation Of Palestine, a Palestinian Marxist-Leninist organization founded by Nayef Hawatmeh in 1968. This recording from 2014 was performed by the Storm Band National Art Troupe.
The lyrics reference Nayef Hawatmeh / Abu-Al Nuf, the group’s founder, and Fawzi Al-Majadi, a resistance fighter from Kuwait who joined the DFLP and was martyred along with 3 others during the First Intifada on June 8th, 1989, targeting an IDF military base.
