Who Was St. Francis Xavier?
Our university's patron saint, Francis Xavier, was born on April 7 in present-day Spain!
An early companion of St. Ignatius of Loyola, he was one of the first seven Jesuits who took vows of poverty and chastity at Montmartre, Paris in 1534.
