10 Life Hacks for an Old Lithium-Ion Laptop Battery
For many years, I've been using lithium-ion battery cells from laptops that served their purpose. As it turns out, they can still last for several more years with a relatively low load current. Unfortunately, 18650 cells don't have a built-in protection circuit, and one must be added to the power supply circuit yourself. However, ready-made protection circuit boards can be purchased online for between 10 and 50 cents, depending on the load current and the number of sections in the battery.
