Dermatologic surgery uses the photoagulant characteristic of the 808 nm wavelength showing the selective absorption for the melano-hemoglobin chromophores, resulting in optimal applications on skin and mucous membrenes and on vascular lesions with thick and hypertrophic wall.

Skin lesions: The preventive iatrogenic staining with exogenous chromophores enables to increase the absorption of LASEmaR 800™ also in case of normohypochromic dermo-mucosal lesions (warts, condylomata, fibromas, statomas, papillomas, polyps, pyogenic granulomas, leukoplakias, etc.) thus enhancing its ablative precision with the advantage of removing only the stained areas and significantly reducing (up to 2/3) the energies employed without staining. The advantage of artificial staining associated with the appropirate impulsation and the compliance with thermal relaxation time (TRT) rules out the risk of occasional injuries of the healthy surrounding areas, due to accidental movements of the operators or patients, expecially when use in children. The advantage of replacing focused handles thanks to the interconnection of surgical optical fibres enables to obtain a very good cut-clot effect with LASEmaR 800™, essential in surgical excisions of lesions to be sent to the histological investigation. The limits of use of this instrument concern the anatomical regions close to the eyes and superficial large vessels of neck and head.
