How to Reset Any TV WITHOUT Remote | (Cold Boot)
Is your TV completely unresponsive, and you don’t have a remote? Don’t worry! In this video, I’ll show you how to reset any TV without using a remote by performing a cold boot. This simple method works on most smart TVs, including Samsung, LG, Sony, and more.
A cold boot helps clear glitches, software bugs, and unresponsive screen issues by fully discharging the TV’s power. Here’s what you need to do:
1️⃣ Turn off your TV completely.
2️⃣ Unplug it from the wall outlet.
3️⃣ Press and hold the power button on the TV (not the remote) for 30 seconds.
4️⃣ Release the button and wait about two minutes before plugging the TV back in.
5️⃣ Turn your TV back on—this should reset it and fix most common issues.
This method works for TVs that won’t turn on, are stuck on a black screen, frozen, or acting sluggish. If your TV is still not working after a cold boot, there may be a deeper issue that requires troubleshooting.
