"On October 19, 2022, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the "Defence Exhibition" in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This exhibition displayed various strategic weapon systems, defence equipment and technologies. Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister of India, honoured Rajendra Singh at this event for developing an "anti-drone system that can detect and nab illegal drones". Bordering states of India, such as Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, have experienced several incidents with drones operated by Pakistan which emphasizes the gravity of this matter.
To address the issue of drones, a vigorous increase in anti-drone research is needed. This drone system is now going to be part of the army, and its powers will be demonstrated in future manoeuvres.
Rajendra's research will play a pivotal role in this and he is currently in the process of perfecting the system. With the funds he has received, Rajendra will be able to continue his research and develop his drone system further. Rajendra completed his graduation from IIT Kerala in 2016. He is a highly qualified person having vast experience in the field of technology. He had also topped the Board Examination in the past and had received the prestigious “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan” scholarship from the Department of Science and Technology, GOI."
