Many guides say two or three infusions. But in this video, we take a closer look at that assumption by running a simple Gyokuro brewing experiment.
Using Gyokuro Umejirushi from Uji (Kyoto), we test how the tea evolves across multiple infusions. Starting with a traditional low-temperature brew to highlight Gyokuro’s famous sweetness and umami, we gradually increase the water temperature with each infusion to see how the flavor profile changes.
